Foundation Problems

Foundations often shift causing cracks or bowed walls.  The worst part about this problem is that it only gets worse eventually knocking a home off of its foundation.  You may have noticed over the years that your doors or windows are not opening like they used to, this is one sign but there are several other things to watch out for.....

  • Cracks in your interior walls

  • Uneven floors

  • Spaces Between Door and Trim

  • Walls starting to lean or bow

  • Foundations sinking

  • Tilting chimney

Grip-tite Anchors

Anchors

Seasonal and climatic changes can cause problems with your foundation. Hydrostatic pressure, expansive soil or some other problem may cause bowed, buckled or cracked basement walls. Rebuilding the wall is not always necessary and generally doesn’t solve the problem but installing anchors into the wall will not only fix the problem but cost less money than replacing it.

Generally installation is complete in one day or less by our trained technicians without disturbance of landscaping. A steel anchor rod is inserted horizontally through the wall into the outside earth. Extenders can be used to get past a deck, patio, sidewalk, etc. A steel anchor is then attached to the rod through a vertical hole in the ground. The rod will be secured on the inside of the wall by a steel wall plate. The Grip-Tite Wall Anchor System is a cost-effective way to ensure the stability of your foundation walls.

Grip-Tite Wall Anchor System is recommended by home inspectors, FHA, HUD engineers. All anchors and related components are manufactured from high quality steel and are hot dip galvanized for long life. Grip-Tite Manufacturing Co., Inc has over 65 years experience in anchoring foundation walls. The system is engineered to develop holding strength several times the strength of a concrete masonry wall.

How The Grip-Tite Push Pier System® Works!

Push Pier Step 1First we attach to your home's footing a series of Grip-Tite Push Pier brackets of heavy, industrial-strength steel.

Push pier step 2Then high -pressure equipment hydraulically drives rugged steel piers down to solid bedrock or proper load-bearing strata (This reinforcement is done below ground- nothing is exposed)

Push Pier Step 3Each pier is individually anchored and tested for successful load-bearing.  Finally the weight of your home, is carefully transferred from unstable soil to rock-solid piers so your home or commercial building is secure with the pier system permanently in place and hidden from view.

Other benefits of the Grip-Tite Push Pier System®

  • No heavy equipment normally needed
  • No waiting weeks (28 days!) for concrete to dry-can be installed in as little as 2 days
  • Can be installed in limited-access areas
  • Faster and lower cost than old-fashioned methods
  • Can be installed year-round
